Advocacy
With an aim of being a major actor in advancing minority groups’ human and social rights, GRAG will advocate for political and social commitment at all levels (from the community to nationally). To make effective social change, maintaining strategic partnerships, mobilizing donors, and changing restrictive laws, behaviors, and understandings are top priorities and will guide GRAG advocacy initiative. Several tools will be utilized to support our advocacy work and influence decision making, including:
- Data sources and research related to minority issues.
- Publications and advocacy tools targeting local and regional initiatives.
- Promote community-based initiatives and responses addressing stigma and discrimination.
- Build bridges between strategic partners and the community.
- Promote the inclusion of human rights in national strategic action plans.
- Ensure adequate national funding for programs and initiatives that support minority groups.
